CTO is a hundred-year old London-based organisation initially set up to bring together the telecommunication sector of the British Commonwealth, which over the years have broadened it’s scope to include all ICT related activities within the Commonwealth and beyond. The primary aim of the CTO is to assist the members to bridge the digital divide. Today the membership of the CTO consists of all Commonwealth countries, non-Commonwealth governments, businesses and civil societyorganisations. The CTO carry out consultancies, research and studies and conduct knowledge sharing trainingprogrammes and international events. Its links within the member countries provides the CTO unparallel access to information and data while its rich pool of experts contain thought leaders in all spheres of ICTs.
