ConsultantsWe have a gainful and sustainable engineering solution to halt global deforestation. For the first time, a technically, environmentally and commercially sound method of using small-diameter round timber (SDT) as a superb structural component is developed. (SDT would then replace mature sawn timber hence draining demand for the latter). Result are sturdy connection methods that dissipate distortion energy and lead to unrivalled design flexibility.
End products are low-cost, aesthetic and durable building and bridge systems that are capable of resisting earthquakes, hurricanes and flooding. Our technologies form a sound basis for sustainable development worldwide (both low- and high-tech formats). They are especially critical for areas of rising sea level (where the "stork" architecture is the answer). Other applications include re-usable towers for multple wind turbines and solar collectors.
We welcome R&D, design and commercialization collaboration worldwide. Please read our CORDIS Project Proposal entitled Sustainable Engineering: connecting science, society and sustainability at:
SustainableScience.org Inc. is a non-profit research institute registered in Iowa, USA. We currently operate from our UK location to facilitate interaction with European and other groups worldwide.
