The Procema Company has been established since 1945. Over the years, it has operated as a SME in a wide range of fields like materials science, environment and services. Besides the research activity, the company has produced a wide game of construction materials.

Since 2005, the research activity has separated from that of production.

The main activities of PROCEMA RESEARCH Ltd. are the research and development in the field of physical and natural sciences, testing and technical analyses of construction materials, the non-metallic waste re-use in the building materials industry and consultancies offered mainly to SMEs and enterprises.

With headquarterat Bucharest, Procema Research Ltd. develop similar activities in two other subsidiaries, at Cluj-Napoca and Timiºoara.

Procema Research Ltd. conducts applicative research projects in partnership with a large number of industrial companies and SMEs from the mining, construction and environment protection sector.

Over 30 skilled staff is dedicated to offer up-to-date, innovative solutions for the productive sector and know-how within materials and processes engineering and applications.

The fields of interests of the research – development activities are: the non-metallic waste recycling for construction industry, sustainable development of construction materials industry, the implementation of eco-technologies for production of building materials, the new mineral resources identifying for the waste water purifying, multifunctional materials with thermo-, phono- and hydro insulating properties and advanced ceramic materials.
