The Vialite RFoF Portfolio of optical communications products includes a suite of Timing & Synchronisation products desinged to transfer accurate Timing Reference Signals over optical fibre, and meets a growing Systems and Network need to access a reliable and highly stable Timing Source. The Vialite Timing & Sync transport platform enables access to GNSS based Timing Reference signals such as GPS, GLONASS, Glaileo etc., and low frequency Radio Broadcast Timing Reference Signals such as MSF, DCF, HBG etc,.

Vialite Time & Sync transmission platfrom provides a low-cost method of accessing a PRC [Primary Reference Clock] and comes in an easy to install, plug and play format. Vialite facilitates good time-keeping by converting converting either off-air, or networked clock generator, reference signal into an optical signal, before distributing it over single mode optical fibre, often over long distances, to a Network Time Server [NTS] for example. In turn, elements and other secondary server clocks buried deep inside networks or systems can readily access accurate time through the NTS. In this way accurate event synchronisation and time stamping can be achieved inside remote operating systems or networks, ensuring good synchronicity, security, reliability and ultimately, sound network integrity and QoS.

Vialite RFoF products are also INFOSEC, EMSEC, and TEMPEST compliant, so guaranteeing the delivery of services such as GPS, MSF time signals, digital TV, VHF & UHF Radio, Cellular and Satellite C- and L-band. The use of optical fibre also provides the added benefit in securing information-gathering Centres against lightning & EMP strikes, as well as preventing attmepts to eavesdrop or corrupt critical operational and sensitive data
