RBB (Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg, or the Berlin Brandenburg Broadcasting Corporation), is the regional public service broadcaster for the federal states of Berlin and Brandenburg. With bases in both Berlin and the media city of Potsdam-Babelsberg, RBB employs 1,700 staff, operates one television channel, seven radio stations and provides a wide range of online and videotext services.

As part of the ARD (the largest radio and TV network in Europe), RBB also contributes to several nationwide channels and runs the ARD Warsaw studio. RBB hosts and manages the ARD Play-Out-Centre (17 television and 22 radio channels) which provides an environment for innovative know-how transfer, expertise exchange and the testing of new technologies.

RBB has longstanding experience in EU co-funded projects, and participated in ENTHRONE, INSTINCT, ATHENA, MHP-KDB, CONFLUENT, BROADMAP, MULTIPRO, AUDIOTAIN (consortium leader), ONRADIO, TRIMEDIA (consortium leader), OPAL (consortium leader), CARO (consortium leader), MIRAGE (consortium leader), PORTIVITY & eContent projects EMUCAST and DISMARC (consortium leader).

RBB Key personnel:

Johannes Theurer: RBB staff, editor and program presenter. He is project manager of current eContentplus project DISMARC, was also involved with EU projects CARO & eContent project EMUCAST. He was head of music department, responsible for live recordings, archive and online services in Radio Multikulti from 1994 until 2003.

Martin Gordon: RBB editorial contributor, record producer and owner of a record label. He was administration manager of eContent projects EMUCAST and DISMARC.
